Dr. Kimberly Miller
Dr. Miller is the founder and sole doctor at The Cat Doctor of Monroe. She believes in gentle, compassionate care for all her furry patients, treating each as if it were her own. Dr. Miller also believes in involving the owner in the decision process for their cats care and will take the time to listen to their concerns and discuss the available options
After working in the insurance and financial planning field as a licensed insurance agent and mutual funds representative for several years, Dr. Miller decided to pursue her interest in animal health. Following graduation from Oakland University in 2004, Dr. Miller attended the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) at Michigan State University, graduating in 2008. Dr. Miller was awarded the Senior Student Award from the American Association of Feline Practitioners for her commitment to feline medicine and surgery.
Dr. Miller began her professional career at a leading feline-only veterinary hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She is a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners and working towards board certification in feline medicine through the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. Dr. Miller is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association and the Veterinary Information Network, an online service which she uses to consult with specialists and other veterinarians, as well as exploring the latest advancements in feline medicine.
Lisa T., Veterinary Technician
Lisa joined The Cat Doctor Fall, 2018 as a veterinary technician. Lisa has been working in the veterinary field since 2007 and is a Monroe native. She loves cats and shares her home with 5 of them - Delylah, Emmalyne, Valentino, Luna and Odessa . Addalynn, her dog, keeps Lisa entertained with her playful antics; the cats like to play with Addie too! When not working, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family and attending her dahlia and vegetable gardens.
Leah L., Veterinary Assistant
Leah started as a veterinary assistant at The Cat Doctor Summer, 2017 and is currently enrolled at Penn Foster to become a licensed veterinary technician. Leah loves dental care and oral surgery. Her gentle, kind nature makes our kitty visitors feel at ease! Leah likes to spend her free time seeing movies and playing with her guinea pigs Bear and Molly and her cats Ed and Baby.
Alex, Veterinary Assistant
o Alex K. Alex has been with The Cat Doctor since June 2016 as a veterinary assistant. Alex is pursuing her BS in Biology at the University of Michigan and is studying to become a licensed veterinary technician through Penn Foster. Alex’s quirky personality lightens our day. She genuinely loves taking care of animals and will go the extra mile to make our patients comfortable. Somehow, Alex manages to squeeze out extra time in her busy schedule to care for injured wildlife and volunteer her time for bird banding.
Crystal W., Receptionist
Crystal has been a client at The Cat Doctor for several years and joined the team as receptionist Fall, 2018. Crystal and her husband share their home with several cats. They often help out stray and feral cats until they can be placed in a forever home! In her spare time, Crystal loves to be outside fishing and camping!
