Our Hospital Policies

Office visits

Dr. Miller is our sole doctor and we are sometimes out of the building at a housecall or holding a training meeting. To provide for a pleasant experience, office visits are by appointment. You may arrange your appointment by calling us at 734-682-5596.  Please keep in mind, emergency cases will always receive top priority, followed by patients with previously scheduled appointments.  A missed appointment is a missed opportunity for other patients. Please be considerate and call at least 24 hours ahead of time if you need to reschedule.
We ask that your cat be confined to a carrier to avoid any mishaps. Cats feel more secure and are safer when restricted to a carrier.

Stray and Abandoned Animal Policy

The Cat Doctor of Monroe is a hospital for cats. We are unable to take unwanted cats or kittens. However, some assume that we are a shelter or rescue service. We simply do not have the facilities or funds to care for all the cats in need. If you need help finding homes for your unwanted pets, please contact a rescue shelter or organization. All cats abandoned at our hospital will be taken to Monroe County Animal Control.
